SAEZ PARGA ABOGADOS was founded in the mid-1980s when its founding partner, Manuel Sáez Parga, requested a voluntary leave of absence from the judiciary to which he had enthusiastically devoted over 20 years, holding different positions and having different responsibilities in investigative courts, courts of first instance and provincial courts throughout Spain. That circumstance enabled him to gain extensive experience in different areas of the Justice Administration and in the various legal proceedings in both the civil and criminal sections and to have privileged knowledge of how the justice system works. At that time, he founded his law firm, to which he has provided productive professional work for over 30 years, combining this with intense dedication to his academic and university activity as a Professor of Procedural Law at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona for over 10 years.

In 2013, Pablo Sáez Giménez joined the firm to create and head its Tax Department, after working for over 12 years at several Spanish and foreign law firms, providing tax advisory services to Spanish and foreign companies from diverse sectors such as consumer goods, distribution, automotion, real estate and finance, and after completing sound postgraduate training, first at Instituto de Empresa in Madrid and then at IESE en Barcelona.

That process towards a more globalised and multidisciplinary firm, aimed at providing comprehensive advice to companies and having an international vocation, finally culminated in mid-2017, when Manuel Sáez Giménez joined the firm. He consolidated its Procedural Department, covering differentiated areas such as civil, mercantile and economic crime law, and created the Public Law Area, focusing on administrative and judicial review law; he contributed his general training, which enables him to work in different law areas, and the extensive experience he gained in over 14 years at the law firm CASALS ABOGADOS, where he was the partner in charge of the procedural department. Likewise, he combines his legal work with his teaching activity, working as a teacher at the UNED (Spanish Distance Education University).

At that time, SAEZ PARGA ABOGADOS was relaunched as a firm with a clear multidisciplinary vocation and aimed at providing a combined resolution for the issues from diverse specialities, which are technically very complex and require customised and comprehensive solutions.

The firm’s objective is to provide advice to clients in line with their demands and needs, and enable them to have the trust and peace of mind offered by a team of professionals who have superb technical training and excellent human qualities.
